About the HOPE Foundation

In 2003, Melodie was given the opportunity to participate in a Lehigh University partnership with the National Science Foundation called STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). STEM puts graduate and undergraduate college students in classrooms, grade four through twelve, to help teach hands-on lessons about science, technology, engineering and math. Teachers, students, professors and industry partners worked together to create real world applications that fit into each classroom’s curriculum.

In addition to working with the STEM initiative, Melodie began to notice that many of her personal activities involved children. It was that epiphany, and various confirmations that followed thereafter that led her to believe that God had called her to work with children and help them reach their prospective destinies.

At the age of 20, Melodie put herself on a twenty year plan to structure her life around building her very own school. She created a notebook with information on how to start a school and continues to jot down random thoughts that come to mind regarding her school.

It wasn't long before the name H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Pursue Education) Christian Academy was birthed.

Getting connected to the community, continuing her efforts of giving back, and other accomplishments that are certain to come, all will lay the foundation for her 2025 goal:

Building H.O.P.E. Christian Academy!
